Art, music, night - a mystical and extremely intense combination. Watching this from afar, rarely encountering music, it sings with something magical. But looking under the cover of night and a little further than the DJ console, there is a little less magic. And much more business, systems and management.

Getting into this behind the scenes, most of them passively accept the rules of the game. But this is definitely not about our team. The transformation of the electronic music industry is something that interests me for the last year and something that I plan to work on with my team. There are many questions and pain points in this niche - from copyright to promotion, from innate talent to resounding success, from legal aspects to the most mundane sales issues.

Even if not all my colleagues will appreciate such openness, today I want to raise the gray side of this very magical musical sphere.

And before you start - a little background about me. Hi, my name is Oleg and I am a DJ. (Hello, Oleg - you answer in unison - we too. Joke-joke). To begin with, I really do DJ myself. I have been playing for about a year. I am a co-founder of the Kharkov music label Basanta Music. Electronic music captured my soul and heart.

But here's the bad luck - today I do not know how to write tracks. I play, charge, collect sounds, create sets and compilations. But I still cannot create my own music. How sinful is it in the world of music?

In my understanding, all electronic music falls into two broad categories: artists and sound producers. Someone combines both directions, while others are profiling on one activity. There is a wide practice in the world when DJs do not write their tracks on their own. Or not all of their tracks are written independently. Therefore, it is absolutely realistic and official to buy a track, write it, and produce it from a specialist. This is done by a large number of famous and popular DJs, not considering it something wrong or shameful.

Then another question arises - the work of sound producers and ghostwriters, which is often underestimated. (Ghostwriting is when you write music for another person and it comes out under his name.) Ghostwriter is such a ghost in the shadow of the entire music industry. They seem to be, everyone knows about them, but they prefer to avert their eyes to the side.

They hide the ghosters. In general, that's why they are ghosts, you say. That's right, and the industry has a number of reasons to do this. The first is not to disclose information that the track was not written independently, but simply purchased. Like when big politicians write their books. We kind of understand that their authorship is unlikely, but we prefer not to think about it.

The second reason is that the market is in the shadows, goes black, and few people legalize payments. A huge shadow sector of the economy, which does not play into the hands of honest business and the state itself. And the third is the uniqueness of the ghostwriters themselves. Major performers often hide their authors so that their work remains unique, individual and no one can order a similar track.

It is the opinion that there are very few good guest leaders, but most likely their units. And find them - the task is not simple.Accordingly, not every artist can gain access to a high-quality dying from the top guide.

The musical composition is a very multifaceted and complex product, a large number of people participate in it: vocalists, and instrumentalists, sound producers. And there are still a lot of people who work every day, but still remain online.

Let me express my opinion that guests and sound producers are a separate creative elite, a niche that deserves great respect. And I am interested in developing not only artists, but also sound producers within the framework of the Basanta Music project. So that a large number of guys who want or are already writing music even in apartments on laptops, even in professional studios, have the opportunity to develop, go public.

For consumers, the visible part is the track we are listening to, or the artist who stands behind the console and plays it. But those who create that very musical magic, almost no one knows.

For me, the people who are "behind the scenes" deserve special attention. And I dream that the creative potential of our city and country will develop through this direction as well. So that our artists and their teams are known all over the world in terms of performances and performances. And so that the mysticism of the night is always not in dark business schemes, but in art and creation.

I think what they are trying to say it was an odd first post. Welcome to the board when you get a chance pop over to the front dest and introduce yourself
