DJ Extraordinaire
I was at Disney World last week. My wife wanted to go with the kids, yea our kids are grown. She’s been having a tough time taking care of her Mom. But she picks the time when the kids are out of school so that means it’s going to be crowded with lines. Now I knew Disney was expensive, maybe we are in the wrong business, $2.8k for 4 tickets to Disney. I must admit the new rides were very good, the production value on everything was excellent. We were able to hit all the new rides except for Avatar with a few we were able to do twice. You always know how long the wait will be so the trick is being in the right place at the right time. Guardians of the Galaxy and the Star Wars rise of the resistance were two of the best. It’s amazing the great job Disney does moving all the people, handling the long lines and the detail they put inside each ride and area. The only downside was all the walking, I checked we were walking 5.5 to 8 miles a day. I can see these family easily dropping $10k or more for a week in FL when you total up everything. Everyone was smiling so I guess it’s worth it. Personally, I’m printing up some T-shirts to sell to the fathers. “Disney The most expensive place on earth”. I’m back down in Orlando in about 6 months or so for a business/personal trip, I may hit Universal then. Next family vacation back to DR to the resort the with Lazy River with the float in bar, that a beach and a bunch of excellent restaurants, that’s all I need.

We went in 2018, and it was A LOT of money. Went down for 2 weeks. We had 5 days of park tickets. Went to each park. I hated all the waiting in line. It's not my idea of a great vacation. Many of the rides were awesome though. Rock N Roller Coaster. Tower of Terror, Everest. Avatar que was insane so I did not get to do that one. They have added a lot of Star Wars stuff since we went. We do plan to go again, but next time just my wife, and son and I, and maybe our niece for a 4 day trip or so. Next planned trip to Disney is in 2027 for David's graduation of high school.
