Just like it says. Just wondering how many DJs here plan to participate in a bridal show in the near future.
Are you planning on doing any bridal shows in the next 12 months?

One of Ricky's polls come people this is like a Florida election vote early and vote often 
pissin in the wind at this stage... pay more than youd make for 5 weddings... get 1 or 2 at best

I'm planning on going to a Deep House Expo .. I heard that's where the money is.

Seriously unless you multi-op or just starting out these are a waste of time , by 5 years in you if you are any good you should have more business from referral than you can handle
I used to do them when I was hard at the multi-op and I had exclusive rights to the show. When they decided to let others in and it became a contest of who's the loudest I bowed out and live by referral now almost completely
I will do a boutique show if one comes along. Either as a showcase for a venue, or a small show with vendors I like. But I don't plan on doing the mega-shows anymore. Not worth it for me.
Never do a bridal show IF the sponsorship is a DJ entertainment company. It doesn't pay. Usually, you're placed in the most distant location in the venue.
So true... My best friend for 35 years is the manager of a Davids Bridal... a couple years back before i restarted djing he was one of the big sponsers of our cities biggest bridal show... they collaborated with a dj company and put on a mock wedding in one of the additional banquet halls... that dj was obviously featured in a huge way as part of that... i saw one other dj company at the bridal show...and they might as well have been located in the mens bathroom.
