Same thing with them. If you agree to pay $4,800 a year for their service then so be it. For that kind of money (not that I would pay that amount) they would have to guarantee that I will book at least 10 jobs within the year.

But when the promise a level of service you don' t receive it changes

My point is that if someone agrees to pay you $3,500 you're not going to tell them that's too much to pay you for your service. They are not going to tell you that their service is not worth $4,800. If you want to pay that much, they will gladly take your money.

You need to decide if it's worth that price or not.

When you agree to pay for a legitimate service you agree to pay $XXXX of an agreed level of service. When you don't get that level of service that's where the problems come in

It would be like you agreeing to show up with CO2 Cannons and a video montage and not delivering. The price in this case isn't the problem the service is

Let's put it this way. If you're a true professional you wouldn't offer anything that you can't deliver. I wouldn't offer sparklers because we don't have them. So we can't offer them. We can offer lights. They may not be as fancy as Taso's cut we have some.

All you would do is pass a client off by not delivering something you said you would. That would make for a bad review and a client passing the word on to not book you.

I get a few leads from the free one - like maybe under 10 a year. Probably maybe have booked 1 in 10 years. got a few calls once a year from them and they stop trying til the next year. But I honestly feel like taking their call just to hear them try and sell me a $4800 advertising package so they can hear how loud I can laugh

The last time they called me, I couldn't get a straight answer from the rep. on what their ad rate was. She said, "It all depends. Our pricing starts at $600/month and goes up to $3000/month." I laughed at her tactics.

Did that rep sound like they were high on drugs?

Please tell how that sounds Mixxy
Slured speech and keep pausing. My point was that this rep must be high telling someone that the price per month is between $600 and 3k to advertise cursing them. That's crazy and anybody who pays that is crazy to me. After hearing that if it was me I just would have hung the phone up on them. I would do it that way to keep me from cursing her out.

You do not need to be rude to people Mixxy.
They are just doing their job like the N Y Y!

Let me say this. I don't know any DJ on this forum who would pay $600-3k to advertise with them each month. That's an awful lot of money to spend each month. Who on here could afford that much each month? I say a DJ would have to make 1ok per each event they do with at least 2 events a month to afford to pay that. I don't know any DJ on here who is getting paid that much for an event if it's a wedding or other type of event. Who on here would pay the minimum of $600 a month to advertise with them?

All of the reps are just fine in their communication. They're a lot better than most call center workers (foreigners). As for what's appropriate payment to generate leads is up for debate but, just my opinion here, you're probably the least qualified to make that determination of anyone else on this forum. Back to the reps, it's almost always a 20-something female and the pitches they use, often are ridiculous. I think my fav is the "If you only make 1 booking you'll pay for the ad." Trying to convince a prospect by telling them they might get their money back (if they're lucky) is stupid beyond belief. I would also love to know what their churn rate is on employees. I bet it's thru the roof.

I have thought the same thing.
2019 pricing in central Ohio wasn't that high, I didn't think. When Weddingwire no longer offered a paid-in-full upfront discount I said goodbye plus the rate was going to be $300 more to renew. I still receive 8 - 10 leads with the free , Lite listing. Only book two - three a year with maybe 8-10 leads.

I may not be the most qualified here on this subject. Let me ask this question. What are they offering you for $600 a month to list with them? Keep in mind that the price can go up to $3,000.

I clear roughly $5k per event. IF they actually produced quality leads that would help me put dates on the books, I'd pay it in a heartbeat.
