Papa - who are we to define "tacky"
Bad enough that we're stereotyped as the guys that force The Chicken Dance down unsuspecting guests throats and now this. I steer clear of this practice and suggest that if you do engage in it, just make sure they're not brother and sister.

Seriously - Were most of you born in a cave. I think the word prudish comes to mind. Gawd have some fun!!!:tritongue: And as far as having kids involved, I ask the bride and groom at the consultation if they want kids involved and if yes, we set standards right there and then about how the donning of the garter is going to happen. I also suggest to them if they want the kids to be involved I tell the bride she can toss out a teddy bear to all the young kids and the winner gets a nice prize. These are the type of things that need to worked out way before the wedding reception even happen!

But do people still play the chicken dance at weddings? I haven't heard it in years.
nobody has any right to shoot down what other DJs do to run their business. Haven't you all figured out by now that what might be tacky for you might be gold for others and what is gold to you might be tacky to others?
Stop putting your morals and impressions on others and learn that there is more than 1 way to things....
and if you think there is only one way to things, fine, start wearing aloha shirts at your gigs, say Mahalo and Aloha and Da kine and ono grinds and then we can talk....
