This Tuesday was the ADJ Road Show in NYC where you see some of their newest products. They give demos on the new stuff and you get some hands on the new production. A couple of items I liked were; the ADJ Wolfmix DMX Lighting Controller were doesn’t require a computer at your gig but gives you access to a ton of control of your fixtures. In the office, you can hook it up to a computer and use virtualizing software, so you can program without connecting to your lighting fixture. The Focus Profile moving head with its zoom from 7 to 45 degrees you could use it as a spot or wash. With a 400-watt LED, these things are bright. They also had their new more affordable LED video panels. I had planned to purchase some panels before I retire and the price has come down substantially for indoor-rated rated but for outdoor-rated, which I would need they are still pricey.
There are never a ton of people, but it is nice to connect with the other reps and industry people. Then there is the view of midtown from the roof. This rooftop club is pretty popular because of it. This event was from 3 to 7 p.m., leaving about 25 people were waiting for the elevator to go up and 50 people lined on the sidewalk waiting to get in, and this is a Tuesday. Besides the photos from the event, I threw in some photos of the view from the rooftop.
