I have found myself in a very delicate situation, and I hope someone here can help. (it's a large story, so bear with me)

I booked a wedding August 15th in Beaver, PA, which is 6-hours from my home. My step-niece-in-law (?) is getting married, and asked if I would do the wedding, since she already knows me. Since she is family, and the trip would allow me to visit my relatives in Beaver, I only charged her $300. My family is paying for my travel expenses.
Meanwhile, here at home, my wife's mother is dying. She has had several bouts with cancer, but the most recent is a brain tumor that is not responding to treatment. The doc's have told us that they have pretty much exhausted all their options, and it is pretty much a matter of time.
Since the wedding is only a few weeks away...I am in a panic. If the wedding were at home, I would simply call a friend to cover the event. Since the wedding is 6-hours away, I cannot expect anyone here to help me out. I do not know any DJ's in Western, PA...and I am pretty sure I could not find one to do the job for the "family rate" I quoted the bride.
My sister and her husband are gonna call some local DJ's and explain the situation, and see if any of them will put themselves on hold. They realize that there may be extra costs in doing so, but it's more a matter of finding someone.
So here is my plea...
is there anyone out there who MIGHT be able to cover a wedding on Saturday August 15th...should something happen? Beaver PA is just north of Pittsburgh.
Or, can anyone offer a sensible solution or alternative. I realize there is only a slight chance that I would actually have to miss the wedding, but I really do not want to mess up my neice's special day, and I simply cannot leave my wife and family to "do a job" should the worst case scenario happen a day or two before.

feel free to PM me if you don't feel comfortable discussing this publicly

Mike

Mike,
I may be able to help out. We are about 2.5 hours away. Feel free to give me a call.

latest update...

my wife's mother, Carmella Picarello Kichline
passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30th at 5pm.
although the family is quite sad, we are also happy that her suffering is over.

I didn't announce that, looking for sympathy
(although I do appreciate it, if you were thinking of offering it..)

I just wanted to let everyone know how extremely thankful I am to have people like you guys (and gals) to back me up.
You have no idea how relieved I was to know that there are people out there willing to help out someone they don't even know...
simply because we are all in the same business!

If I can ever offer some help to you...
you know where to find me

God bless your family and friends in this time of healing from a loss of your mother in law.
