2-15"'s or 1-18" ?

The EAW is in a push-pull configuration as mentioned and I'm not sure what the second photo is, as I'm not aware of a JBL dual 15 sub other than the old MPRO model or one of their flying models, but none of those are front firing. They do have some dual 15 full-range cabs.

Its part of their "AE" series. They are made for fixed installation purposes. Notice there are no handles on the enclosure for lugging them around. They are very powerful subs though. They use 800w woofers, similar to the SRX728 drivers but in 15" form.
 
That eaw dual 15 is supposed to be real nice. I love the sound of 15 inch subs, generally they have a more musical and less boomy sound. I have been a bassist for 30 years and have used my share of both. If you buy a quality sub, you will be happy either way. Look at the eaw dual 15 and the Yorkville 608 single 18.
