It’s time to liquidate my DJ gear just looking for suggestions
As if mentioned I live in rural southwest Wisconsin the largest town with any significant population are 45 miles 57000 people and 70 miles 100,000 plus I’d rather not mess with shipping the big stuff. But all gear is less that two years old most of decent brands Yamaha, ape labs, that kinda stuff, I’d like ideas on where you fine folks would recommend listing

You've been on here for many years. Try posting on here. Other things are FB market place, Ebay and Amazon. You can let it be known local pickup since you don't want to ship things.

I would first try Facebook Marketplace but that can be a sh**show sometimes if that doesn't work I would take the drive to "town" and see if any bar owners would like an upgrade. How much do you have to sell?

I faced the same situation when I shut my DJ business down. The only difference is, I lived in Oklahoma City. I should have tried to sell my gear before I moved to this small rural Texas town. There’s not much chance of selling anything here. I was undecided about what I wanted to sell, and what I wanted to keep… so I kept it all, and moved it to Texas. Now, almost everything is out in my garage. Thankfully I built a BIG garage here, so I have ample storage. However, I have no idea how I’m gonna get rid of lights I know I’ll NEVER use again.🤷‍♂️😂 The audio gear still gets used occasionally, but I had sold my excess speakers to Guitar Center.

When I left Denver 8 1/2 years ago I gave away what I could (tried to sell, but didn't have much luck) and I kept the core of my equipment except for the passive speakers.

Down here in Yuma, AZ I put my amps, racks, sound processors and other stuff on Marketplace and Craig's List...sold a couple of the racks and processors, but my prized Peavey amp and Carver amp/preamp combo nobody wanted.

I finally donated it all to a cause that can use that stuff for their events.

I got lucky. I have a friend who was an auctioneer and often buy things and sell them on social media and at his own events. I gave him a bunch of my old gear and told him to get what he could for and keep it as payment, just for helping me get it out of my garage. A few weeks later, he handed me $400 cash. He took a percentage and gave me the rest. The key was he knew a bunch of people from his days in radio, who appreciated and collected vintage gear.

Have you tried listing your gear on Reverb.com. I see a lot of DJ gear there. I bought a guitar from a seller there during the pandemic. It was a good experience.
