I am doing a solid sell off of equipment to consolidate down to the items that I use routinely.

My rule for keeping equipment. Did I use it in 2025 at least 1 time, or so far in 2026?

I recently sold my Alto TS212W Bluetooth speaker. I was using it as a backup to the TS312 speakers that I had. I sold those, and ended up selling that speaker. A musician with a string quartet bought it from me for $200 off of Marketplace. I did use the speaker at a few events last few months, but now have no point to keeping it.

I am currently selling my Rockville RTP32 Totem Stands. Listed for $300 obo on market place. I have had a total of 14 inquiries. I had 5 offers of $250, one of $260, and one guy said he would give me the $300. The guy who told me $300 stopped responding and no showed to pick them up yesterday, so now I have a meeting set up on Friday with the guy who offered $260. The stands go for $400 brand new for a pair which is honestly cheap. I am shocked they have kept the price the same all these years.

Next up on the sell list are my old Alto TS110A Speakers. I love these speakers, and have been keeping them around to give to my son to DJ with as his first set of speakers, BUT it is now apparent that he has no desire to be a DJ. I have used them at 3 events in the last 6 years. He said he would keep them for his room, but he has plenty of home stereo stuff. So the 10" speakers will be for sale soon. Thinking $200 or $225 for the pair.

Other items I am going to sell:

Two Chinese mini wash moving head lights. I think they are 15 watt x 7. Knock offs of the Blizzard moving wash lights from 12+ years ago. I am not sure they have much value. Thinking of selling for $65 for the pair with carry bag.

ADJ Micro Gobo Laser - Maybe $25? (Heavily Used FAIR condition from the past)

Harper Dolly Cart from Wal Mart. This costs like $110 today. I bought it for $38.96 back in 2009/2010. Still has the price tag on it! Thinking of selling for $30 as it is used and old.

Gator Frame Works Tripod Flat Screen TV STAND. - I only used this stand 4 times. Thinking of selling at $50

If you have any input on what these items should be priced at, let me know. I am taking a shot in the dark, and trying to be competitive/value prices with these sales.

Are you clearing out old DJ gear this year? Keeping it all around for the future? Or are you expanding your inventory in 2026?

I already cleared out DJ specific gear entirely. I obviously have the software still, but ended my music pool subscriptions. I have no intention of playing that role anymore. It's not the highest or best application of my skills, nor is focusing solely on social (party) events a smart idea if I want to stay in the events business for a living.

Gear sales for me is about managing inventory levels and overstocked items. For example, I have 30 QLXD wireless mic systems and realistically I only need about 18 to meet demand on peak dates. Other sale items are inventory used for specific events that is just too unique to hold onto, such as chandeliers; for example.

I still have a lot of gear to get rid of. I’d like to sell it, but stuff is really hard to sell out here in the boonies.😂 There are not many people, and I don’t know of any DJ’s, so the only potential buyers would likely be hobbyists. It’s also difficult to ship stuff, because the nearest UPS is 30 miles away, and the post office is too expensive for shipping larger items. I’m not eager to sell online, anyway. Too many scammers, and too much of a hassle! I have controllers lights and cases of different kinds just consuming space in my garage.🫤🤷‍♂️ I wish I had taken the time to sell it all before I left Oklahoma, but that last year was CRAZY, between COVID, and traveling back and forth between Texas and Oklahoma, while I was getting this place ready to move into. Ya do what ya gotta do.😊🤷‍♂️

The Rockville RTP32 Totem Stands were sold to a Hispanic DJ for $260. He drove up from Annapolis to meet me. Nice guy. Told me he does almost exclusively Quinceanera Parties, mostly small 50-100 guests or so which I would say is par for the course here in Maryland. The wedding I am doing tomorrow is 100 guests, actually just shy they told me 96 total. This is also my 2nd highest paying wedding this year and doesn't even have up lights added in. Just a long wedding with additional time added in.

Anyway, Glad I sold the stands, I know they will get good use with that DJ. He said his customers don't pay much as an add on for moving heads/totems so he needs to acquire things at a low price. He has 4 tube aluminum totems he uses that are 8 ft tall, but he wants smaller totems for the smaller quince parties he does.

Onto the next sale. ...I have a Rockville Wi FI DMX Controller that nobody has shown up to buy yet. Been on Marketplace like 4 months now and price dropped to $90. I guess there isnt much interest in DMX controllers like this any more. I might list on eBay soon, but I hate selling on eBay as market place gets way more eyes on it, and no selling fee on marketplace.
