Folks,

I was in the local Happy Harry's/Walgreens drug store this afternoon to pick up a script for Shirl. While waiting, I heard a familiar tune on the Muzak feed. I'm thinkin'... that sounds awfully familiar.

Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme that cake....

Sure enough, it was Cut The Cake by AWB. Geeze, cheese, Louise. :D

Did your mouth start watering and longin for the taste of wedding cake?:sqerr:
Funny you should ask, lol. Got a wedding later this month and the bride wants this song for her cake cutting.

It's her wedding. If that's what she wants, we'll provide it. :)

My next one has requested a song I hadn't thought of... Recipe For Love ~ Harry Connick Jr.... very jazzy and upbeat...

So.... turn this topic into: "What Do You Play For The Cake Ceremony"

Oftentimes, the cake takes longer than the B&G's requested tune. When that happens I'll segue into the Archies' Sugar, Sugar and How Sweet It Is by James Taylor.

Thoughts? I went into JT's How Sweet IT is to complete the cake ceremony.

Ah yes Muzak...

I've heard "Smoke On The Water", "Eighteen"...it's just a sign that we're getting older and Muzak is being programmed for us "baby boomers"...

Can't wait until I hear my first "Black Sabbath" song, done Muzak style.
