Here's a Craigslist ad that I found... Wonder how many people jumped at THIS fabulous opportunity?

We're having a destination wedding and need help with the music.
We're keeping it chill and laid back and want to play CD's/iPod through a speaker sound system for the Friday night rehearsal dinner on the beach.

So basically we're looking for a DJ to help mix songs on CD's/iPod. We don't need someone onsite that day, just need professional help recommending and mixing music for the events. Ideally the person will provide a song list which we'd review and then they'd provide us with the mixed CD's. Will need about a total of 4 hours of music mixed.

Please help - thanks!

You guys make it sound like something is wrong with the ad? hahahahahahahaha

Craigs list in KC:

My buddy J Nichol and I moved on this one and offered them an umbelievable set up at an unbelievable price...

They responded that they were super interested but that they were on a budget and had to be below $500....

My fiancee and I are well traveled young professionals who have frequented the best clubs/bars in many major cities. We need the Best DJ that Kansas City can offer. Please read what we're looking for below and see if you fit our desires:
- You are able to spin
- You have a variety of music to include techno
- You have created or are able to create your own beats
- You mix beats for a song to song transition
(meaning: you don't just fade in/out of songs - I used to DJ and can do that)
- You have worked wedding receptions before and have amazing mic presence
- You energize the crowd with your personality
- You are able to control a large (300+) crowd
(meaning: you can get the "usual" wedding things done in a timely, organized
manner. i.e. father/daughter dance, anniversary dance, mother/son, first
dance, cake cutting etc. etc. without interrupting and slowing down the
overall feel of the reception)
- We are having a modern, lounge/nightclub look for our reception and would
like our music and DJ to match this atmosphere
- Do you use/prefer CDs or a computer for music or do you use a combo of both
- We can provide many songs or send you specific requests of what we want
- Do you keep up the energy until the end of the reception?
- We have our reception site as long as we want so we might prefer someone who
is younger and can keep us going
- Your style is trendy, somewhat business casual or whatever you may prefer

We will talk pay and hours if our styles match. The wedding will be in St. Joseph, MO on November 3rd, 2007. Wedding starts at 7pm with the reception to follow until the morning hours. Thank you for reading.
