Ive never been a fan of the whole music ducking thing... id like to hear a sample of it in action though though...if its smooth and intuitive then it might be a cool feature.... ive heard too many dj's be on the mic way too much with a similar feature on certain mixers... and the music is up and down like a yo yo ... its unlistenable...

Actually some DJ said if you're not using a Mac to DJ with you're not a real DJ. What crazy nonsense is that?
It’s really simple. If you like the equipment that you have and it’s helping you do a good job, then don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. Be open to listen to other peoples advice, but understand where they are coming from

I was told years ago that you can’t be a real DJ if you use any laptop or a computer. It seemed pretty obvious to me then that the people saying that could see their expensive CD players becoming obsolete And we’re hoping to stem the tide.

I give very little credibility to the person who bashes other equipment that they don’t use. I do listen to rational people that give the pros and cons of things that they do use. The people that bash sound systems they happen to hear in passing is like getting a full movie review from someone that watched a commercial....😁 like bill Murray used to do.

At no point in time will JBL or any other manufacturer kill Bose. It could sound, look, work, feel and smell better it still won't kill Bose...Bose has something the others don't have name recognition.

I had a Buick Roadmaster one time that looked as good as a Cadillac and was much faster and efficient... Those cars never put a dent in the Caddy market because they weren't Cadillac.

Ask anyone un-involved in the sound game to name a pro sound system manufacturer and I will bet my bottom dollar more than 50% will say Bose or Peavey.

My topic title was more tongue-in-cheek than serious. Ever since they debuted the L1, people have been declaring the latest-greatest-shiniest speaker the "new Bose killer". :D

Everyone else: Let's keep this discussion on-topic. Don't get sucked into the Macho Upside-Down. Thank you.

I bet if you asked that question to that individual today, you'd likely get the following answer, "Bluetooth"

Sorry you feel that way. I forget the manufacturer, I think it was EV who made a column system with a sub woofer that I was surprised it sounded that great in the small room we were in. It wasn't cheap but the way it sounded it was worth every penny. 2 of them and it would do a great job in a nice size room.

Now I remember it was Evox and it kicked major butt.

If you say you're sorry for taking the discussion off-topic, and then immediately take the discussion off-topic again, it's a safe bet that you're not really sorry.

Agree I have Peavey DM 12’s I use for some shows, a huge QSC HPR rig I used for outdoor stuff, and a bass boss rig that is my main go to and I use a 7 year old HP laptop

Sorry for being off topic, but I'm predicting a Browns victory over Denver this Sunday!!😄

The Eon One Compact just showed up on a dealer private site that I have bought from. Won't name them yet, but it's showing $437 for a speaker ... that would be an awesome price point. I will let folks know when they come in stock.
