I'm currently needing two or three new fixtures to replace some 4-year old pieces that have already paid for themselves.
I got sick of the Vertipros and Alpha-Moons, and sold them to an associate who needed starter lites.

Now its time to replenish my stock.
I've been looking at pieces like "Cyborg DMX", and similar ones that cost about $100 each (or less).

For example, I can get two Odyssey Agressors, for $88. (but they are non-DMX).

The reason I want DMX is because I'd like to have the ability to run them off a controller.

Some of the features I'm looking for include:

Weight around 10-15 pounds each.
Sound-Activated (or DMX controllable)
64314 lamp (or two 150 watt lamps).
Good dance floor coverage (maybe 60 degree spread or more).

Any suggestions? I need them before May 4th.

Here's one that looks interesting, its called the "DJ Squeeze II":

Here's another one called the "Kinta DMX":

I'm thinking two Cyborg DMX, and two Kinta's, would only cost me about $400 and would provide excellent dance floor coverage, and then my two Mini-Legend intels for additional flashiness.

Unless somebody knows about something better, of course.....

I really like the Chauvet Oceana for a basic DMX effect. Of course, maybe you could pick up a used Martin Acrobat or 2 for some serious floor coverage.

Just found the "DJ Squeeze 2 DMX" for $129 apiece in a Blowout Sale:

two of these, on a single tripod.....would give me up to 60 degree spread. TWO YEAR WARRANTY, only 26 lbs combined wt.

Hook 'em up Master-Slave with the included Blackout controller......Looks super EZ to set up.

Stick the Mini-Legend Intels on top of the speakers on each side......I'm ready for Allie's prom!!!

Call Ben from Northern Lights. He's always willing to help the members of ODJT and can hook you up with something nice.

Yeah, but he's already $100 higher than the Blowout offer from Sound Ideas.

Looks like I've got the best possible deal already....???

If you contact Ben perhaps he can work something out for you. You don't know unless you try.

Also, I've never heard of Sound Ideas. Have you? Why not buy from a reputable dealer. Sometimes it's better to pay a little more to have great service.

Don'cha think DJ-MC, The Googalizer (TM), would know how to check someone out?

You take the phone number, which is in the (614) area code, the business name is searched independently.

they are a reputable dealer in Columbus OH. I'll bet Rod & Trev know these people personally!

Could not find any dirt on 'em......only that they are on good terms with all the major mfg.'s that had 'em listed.

Update........the two DJ Squeezes came to $258........not enough for free shipping.......so I ordered a CH-01 lighting tripod for additional $80.....put me over the $300 free shipping threshold.

Will give full report when they come in next week.....
