I just got the revised laptop skin today as the other one was not correct at all. Now I just have to pay the website bill so it can be back up running. I don't keep that one straight as it is to be paid every 3 months. So I don't remember to see that this bill gets paid. I'll take care of it this weekend as I've got to work the bar this Saturday. That's great because I get to show off my new skin since there is no room for the facade. They place the DJ on a stage and I like that.

Not a big fan of the "skin". Just doesn't work for me.

I can not believe you let your website go down for non payment. My website is my "home page" on all my machines so that I would know if my site off.

I just don't understand.:dontknow:

Yawn..... It's boring and why the pic of your mixer on it.... Let me be blunt... It looks dumb.
It's the controller not mixer that I use and for me it's better then the one my partner had made with his playing name on it. OK since it's boring to you what would you have done sir? Not trying to be smart but just want to see what you would have done if it was yours.

I know what controller it is I have and use the same one.

Since you asked... Ditch the pic of the controller it's useless from an advertising stand point... Also the plain white background and text style screams amateur to me... Then there's the fact that its not even big enough to cover the whole back side of your laptop screen... Leaving a grey boarder visible.

I would have gone with some sort of neutral pattern or color that compliments the text style and color with some sort of visual that fits my style and the clientele I want to attract... Just how and what you use is up to you.... I would enlist the help of a graphic artist IMHO you are not one.

I didn't make the design at all. A friend did it. That picture is our logo.

Mix ditch the skin. It looks bad. Visit a graphic shop in your area and pay for a better looking design. Putting a picture of that denon toy is not a good move. What if you decide to change the type of controller you use down the road?

Mix they are right get a designer to build you a logo or at least dump the controller that would be a 90% improvement

I just had my business card made into a laptop skin, continuity is your friend

Perfect solution...quick, easy and that continuity point is spot on.

Of course, that assumes that you have a nice custom made business card that has your custom logo with no stock artwork.

Tunes, I'm sure you do. Mix...not so sure.

I have never considered spending the time or money for a skin on a laptop.

People should not get close enough to my laptop lid for any phone number to do anything. People at events usually have drinks in their hand.

When the event is done, the laptop is in its case

The look is bad, and the clipart is even worse. Does anyone at your events resemble the 1950s-era couple at a sock hop?

Also... about the phone number: do you really need to say "Toll Free"? Everybody knows that 800/888 numbers are free, and I don't think anyone's still got a calling plan that still charges by the minute.

Personally, I'd get rid of the phone number altogether. Nobody's going to write it down when they're dancing, and nobody's going to steal your laptop and then call you up to confess. It's pointless... much like the idea of a laptop skin.

Personally if I was going to do it I would give folks something to talk about like this

Brenden I disagree. From a marketing standpoint the laptop skin is a good idea if done right every image is a good image leads to top of mind awareness but again it has to be done right or you become the guy with the tacky laptop
