I just ordered 2 Yamaha subs and needed some poles and was looking at this model previously, so I googled the current pricing .. jumped when I saw $100 as they are normally $139+.

Agree .. I looked, but no dice as yet. I would have also liked a screw thread on the sub instead of a pole cup, but the Yamaha rep said they used the pole cup on the smaller subs as it was more universal. K&M makes a version of these with a M20 screw on the bottom .. If I get the QSC KW181s in the future, I'll probably get those too.

I used my new ones this past weekend. I have to say that I am very happy with them. They solved a problem that I have been messing with for a while now. Thanks a bunch to Steve, who originally shone the light upon me that such things exist!

I was looking for a small system set, so I ordered a pair of DXS12s. When I sell my Yorkville Unity system, I will be looking to get the QSC KW181s.

I have those exact same subs. I love mine. What do you think of them?

I think they are very nice. I love the sound, and they are more than enough for what I do. I have never had to adjust the level up past 12 o'clock. I have been experimenting lately with crossover settings on my DriveRack PX to try and get them more into the action. They seem to couple very well with both the DSR 115's and DSR 112's.

Like anything else, there's always something better, and there's always something worse. They work well for me.
