PrimeCuts delivery issues

My local PO once or twice a year will stop delivery of my PrimeCuts disc due to insufficiant postage. I have to go to my local post office, wait in line and pay .20cts to get my disc. It's getting old. I know PrimeCuts prints the Postal Code on the package defining the postage required, but my PO continues to stop delivery on these. I've spoken with PrimeCuts, and all they say is your PO shouldn't be doing that.

Anyone else having this problem?

I went on to discuss the postage required for mailing media vs standard first class mail. Mailing any kind of 'media' (books, newspaper, magazines, CDs, etc.) is MUCH cheaper than general mail. I wonder if PrimeCuts takes advantage of this.

I've been with Promo Only for 21 years with never an issue. I like having a hard copy myself but 2 years ago I switched to PO's POOL service and haven't looked back. Have you ever considered Prime Cuts download service?

If the postage on your package you received is correct then it is not Prime Cut's fault and saying that it is their issue is wrong and could drive away their potential new customers. If I were you, the next time you have this issue, when you get the CD, remove the postage and then get a new quote from the P.O. If that new quote is the same or less than what Prime Cuts paid, then it is an issue with the P.O. not Prime Cuts.

I switched to PrimeCuts' download service at the beginning of the year. No delivery issues and the price is lower, too. I don't miss getting a CD in the mail each week. With the download service, I get the music a day faster.

Been with Prime Cuts since January of this year. I get the downloads every Wednesday and the disc arrives about every Monday. Never had an issue with the post service not delivering it.

I never said I 'blame' PrimeCuts for this problem. In fact, it's clear that the PO is at fault here. I just wonder if there is something more PrimeCuts can do (labeling) to eliminate this problem.

As for downloading, I just don't have time for that. There are literally a hundered or so songs on each disc (including Latin & Jazz).

Edit: On a side note, I was one of the first 100 people in the country to subscribe to PrimeCuts. We have a great relationship.

I have issues with "media rate" when mailing books, etc. I have about 25% of the packages I send at the rate bounce....sometimes after being opened and inspected. This is a post office problem...and complaining is all you can do.

As for downloading, I just don't have time for that. There are literally a hundered or so songs on each disc (including Latin & Jazz).

You obviously haven't tried the download service then. One click gets you the entire disc dropped onto your hard drive in a nicely-organized folder. One second to click, 10 minutes for the download to complete and you're done.

Brendan hit it on the head. Digital download saves me from plenty of headaches. My music subscription sends me 1 dvd per month with a butt load of content. If dont get it in time for a gig, I hit the website and download everything in advance. Platinum status!! My keyboard just went bonkers. WTF?
