Well this weekend was CRAZY to say the least...We were heading up to DJ a wedding in Northern VA , about 2 hours from where we live when we blew a tire on the trailer. Installed the spare tire and then 15 miles later a second tire blew. I want to give a HUGE shout out to A guy some of you may know John Caniford who happened to live 15 minutes from where we were and went to a trailer shop and picked up tires for us! Word to the wise, if you haven't rotated your trailer tires recently...DO IT. We JUST made it to the event and got set up and ready to go in time. I was afraid we wouldn't get the uplights set up in time, but we pulled it off. Also i had help ahead of time from another DJ friend in Michigan named Naveen whom some of you may have seen around also at various dj functions/forums. He helped me with preparing the music because half of the family flew in from India and that is what i showcase in this video is the Indian side of things. Definitely my first Punjabi/Indian events and while i don't plan on doing a whole lot of these , one of the family members is actually a Dj from India and told me how great it was at the end of the night so it was one of the most stressful weekends i've ever had , but it ended on a good note. :)

I know they fed you well. Was Roti on the menu? Like David said, that group loves to Party. My first wife was Indian.

Great job and glad it worked out. I have to ask though, were your tires worn out or was the trailer overloaded? That's one of the reasons I steered away from a trailer. Extra tires and axles to fail, not to mention it's more dangerous than a van (my opinion). I've got a prospect for a mixed American and Indian wedding coming up in September so this vid might be helpful. Thanks for sharing it.

I didn't see any Roti but there were all kinds of food choices so it very well may have been there. It was actually a mix of American and Indian guests so there was tons of choices when it came to the food. I had steak and then I also had Chicken that was stuffed with cheese and spinach, i definitely ate great haha.

We love trailers Rick, this is the first problem i've had with one of our trailers in the last 12 years. We do events that are too large to not use a trailer , the only alternative would be a large box truck and i'd prefer to stick with trailers. We had a Huge outdoor event we ran on Friday so the trailer was loaded for that event AND the wedding ( we have a 20 foot trailer ) and it was loaded to the brim. Trailers are EXTREMELY safe when done right. This situation is an example of why our trailers are all Dual axles, that way when the tires blow you just pull over, you don't lose control of the trailer. Second, we have a Weight Distribution hitch with Sway bar control that keeps the trailer from ever going anywhere. The tires blew because we've put a lot of miles on them in the last couple months and didn't rotate them, Pep Boys took them off and showed us how they were worn and said that's due to not rotating the tires. Also on top of that it was a hot day with a lot of our weight ( 3 speakers rigs and Road cases floor to ceiling ) sitting right on the axles instead of in the front so it was a couple things that came together to cause a problem. We will now rotate our tires regularly on the trailer and Will make sure and load properly. If we had rotated the tires and loaded properly the problem wouldn't have happened and now it will never happen again. I also picked up 2 spare tires/rims at Pep Boys and will be keeping them in the trailer at all times just to be safe.

Also Rick, if you have one of these coming up, the best thing i can recommend is definitely do your research and find out which part of India they are from , some parts listen to Bollywood music and the other ( like mine ) listen to Punjabi music , and there definitely is a difference i learned. Before the trailer issues, i was so stressed about the music because honestly you don't even know what they are saying and it is definitely different from US music. I worked VERY hard on it though and am extremely glad it went well. If you do that event and it's Punjabi , just let me know , i'll help you out in any way i can if you need it.

Man, that's outstanding work and thank you for the info you shared. Sorry you had to contend with the flat tires and of course the "problem" of having so many large events. ;)
