My current Virtual DJ LE license that I got with my Mxr14 doesn't allow me to get tools from the site. I really need one that is FREE. It is SynchronizeTags that allows your database to be resynced with the metadata in your files.

Can someone help me out by sending me the file???

Thanks for any help you can provide.
 
Still like Rick said buy the full version or wait till you get Rockit mapped for your new controller/mixer. May I ask what controller is it you've got?
 
The LE versions are really limited .. you can't add add-ons so don't believe it will work even if you can get the files.

I think it's ridiculous to buy a $300 controller a nd then not be willing to spring for the software to make it run correctly, maybe you should have bought something that is already setup to use Rockit.

Some of you posting in this thread may not know that this unit is a mixer first and a controller secondarily so it is a bit different. But to the original poster LE version of VDJ can not be modified in any way you will need the pro version to use the plugins.

The LE versions of VDJ, are made to work with specific controllers. I have a couple versions that came with a couple controllers, and they won't work unless the specific controller is connected.

It's what I call tease software -- it's just there to get you to buy their full version.

Personally, I still feel it is much easier to use a keyboard and mouse, and far easier to map. I use an external Saitek backlit keyboard that is regular size. Quite frankly, that's why I built RockIt -- to have less gear to carry. And there's the SOL factor -- you use one unit as a mixer/controller/sound card -- you need to buy two of them for redundancy, in case something breaks.

Richard, that mixer is already mapped to the VDJ LE software.

What am I missing? What does the software NOT do for you? It is what it is and can't be changed or added to unless you upgrade to one of the full versions.

I was considering buying the 19MXR but their midi commands aren't familiar to RockIt.

So I'll stick with my Denon X500 for now.

He needs it mapped to RockIt. While in progress, he wanted to use some of the VDJ tools to make using VDJ LE easier, but they don't work with the LE version.

It basically was exactly what I was looking for and satisfied my needs.
I needed a new mixer and also sound card due to my existing ones meeting with the floor at high rate of speed and neither survived. (A story in its own right). I also wanted a controller but hated the ones with the wheels that emulated turntables. My hands can't handle those due to my limitations due to a handicap. The 14mxr was a mixer that could also be a controller. It didn't have the wheels and has a great bultin sound card. Everything I needed.
I figured I'd eventually get it mapped on Rockit but was using the provided Virtual DJ LE. I wanted to update my mp3 tags with some of the info from vDJ and didn't want to go file by file. That's why I posted about the tool. It was free so I didn't think it mattered. I thought it was a stand alone app.

Finally decided to look and found the authors website. It was available for download there. FYI it is standalone and doesn't care what version of the software you are running.

I should have done this before posting here. I figured I'd get messages about upgrading. I didn't think comments would be negative like some were. Isn't this a support forum?
