How do I fix music files?

I have an issue that I thought got fixed. I have some files that are still in wave format instead of MP3 and those files come up as error. So they won't play. Used a converter program and thought that would fix the problem. It didn't convert all the files. I'm using VDJ. How can I fix this issue?

VDJ plays .wav just fine. That's not the issue.

I would suggest re-ripping them from their original source or re-downloading them from where they were purchased.

Try BUYING your music on CD, and ripping it yourself.

There was a judgement a few years back, where the record companies were allowed to put bogus files on the internet to prevent piracy.

So, they can put a spreadsheet for example, and rename it to MP3, WAV, or whatever extension they like. Obviously, that is not a playable music file -- it just looks like one.
