Cakewalk

Has anyone here ever used Cakewalk to create a Mix or Recording? I have a copy that came with a Piece of equipment I purchased a year or so ago but never used it.

Used it for years and produced several albums with it. Ended up ditching it as it seemed I spent more time trying to get it to work than actually working with it.

How long ago was that? Maybe now the Software might be up to par!

Tried it -- it didn't do much for me.

Sony Sound Forge, Vegas and Acid work best for me, and all their interfaces are consistent. Bit of a learning curve, but once you know one, you know them all.

I can put both audio and video in any of them, dump in samples, sound effects, etc.

Reaper is a better choice for multi track recording.
