Okay, I've had a raging hard-on, ever since someone posted about having a pair of these the other day. 2400 watts into a 21" driver, lawdy-mercy don't you know this dude would pound hard! Finally got around to doing a bit of research about power draw. Ouch, 12.5 amps draw? I realize you could do 80% of most weddings with one of these but, if I'm reading correctly, you'd have to pull a separate circuit to power the one sub. Yea, I know, "real tools, real tools".

Since you can do many weddings with a single 18", I would think it a bit overkill .. live sound maybe. Plus, at 203 pounds, you better have a good way of getting them in and out of the transport. It IS a beast.

I'll second that comment by DJ Wes. The 801LS PB does, however, roll like a dolly and can be turn on a dime and it's 137 lbs.

Those baby's I feel would be great for a school dance or using at a large banquet room. Normally a room that can be devided in to 3 to 4 smaller rooms. The other thing is having a vehicle to transport them.

I'm just a super big Yorkville fan!

Don't get me wrong, my jbl mpros punch plenty. Just something about that much juice, hitting a 21" driver in a big cab that turns me on.

The LS801P is monster enough.

Have you measured power draw on a pair of these? Specs are showing 6.6amps, full out. I'm thinking that with projector and my normal rig I'd be tapping 15amps. Just concerned about popping breakers.

I can't turn my LS800p's up past 12 o'clock. They are so effecient you can't possibly turn them all the way up unless you're outdoors. Seriously, the LS800p/LS801p's can get very LOUD very quick!
