I actually bought it for my wife's sister .. I just bought one last year and have a backup, but it's a great deal for a pretty decent brand.

I like Lenovo but, as an office machine.

The gig rig issues on this one for me are the Shared video memory, Intel graphics adapter, and 5400rpm drive.

I'd rather buy the right hardware the first time.
Steve's whole point is that the computer has an attractive price so, if it's not what I want it defeats the savings to spend more money trying to turn it into something else.

No .. my point was it has a great price AND has specs sufficient for MOST DJ duties.

I would wager that it is the right piece of hardware for a whole lot of users .. and not just for office use. The only deficient point would be the lack of dedicated graphics memory, which my backup laptop shares and it has never been an issue with a 7 year old machine. The 5400 rpm disk is NOT a deficiency unless you are recording or doing a lot of rapid searching .. and it runs a bit cooler than a 7200 rpm one. If you are a video DJ .. then this wouldn't be your first choice .. if not, it is just fine.

I can't imagine a modern day DJ who wouldn't want that capability when buying a new machine?

At the very least one can run PP or a karaoke software simultaneously with a DJ software based on the priority of overlay and audio to separate outputs. Really cuts down on the amount of redundant gear.

I run karaoke and DJ software (simultaneously) without a separate video card .. neither are graphics intensive. For you, yes, those laptops listed would not be a good deal.
