looking for a midi controller with built in mixer

I've been looking at the Numark Mixdeck Express, but have been hearing some quality build issues.

Does the Pioneer MC 3000 have a built in mixer? Could it work by itself in a case straight out to powered speakers with a laptop?

Do any of the Hercules models fit that requirement?

Any other recommendations?

For you I would recommend the Traktor S2 http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-kontrol-s2/

In Both instances there are other levels up. Traktor S4 and American Audio VMS4

Yes Dunlop - to answer your question the MC 3000 IS a standalone mixer. I use the MC6000 and use it all the time as a stand alone, Run the microphones directly through it and it works AMAZINGLY well. I highly recommend you buy one and look no further ;0)

I second this too as I have one and love it!!!!!!!!!!!! I got mine from KPODJ.com for $600.00. That's the exact price you pay. I bought the case that goes with it for $179.00. So all together I spent $779.00 for both of them and have not looked back. One nice feature among many is it has 2 mic inputs. So you can use at least 2 mics if not more depending on if you have multiple mics coming off a single mic receiver. Just too many features to mention here. Solid machine. If it dies I would buy another one in a second.
