At last Saturday's reception, the bride's parents had divorced but both had remarried.

Sadly, her Mom died in October. I asked her if she still wanted to do the anniversary dance which she confirmed.

During the ceremony, the bride's step father walked down the aisle alone, went to a table next to where the preacher was on which was a framed picture of his deceased wife and a candle. He lit the candle, picked up the photo, gave it a soft kiss and placed it back down.

Then during the anniversary dance, there he was on the dance floor holding the same photo to his chest face down dancing alone.

Two beautiful moments....

What difference does that make?

What's your point?

I would have also asked the same thing

but if you take things too much to heart
then only way to stop reading things like this is

1. delete your account (isp)

2. dont read anything again

then nothing offends you

I was not offended...Rick's not the type to do that.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious...part of being a little OCD...

Nice story, Jim.

Had the same thing this past Saturday.
The bride's father passed away in November, so after I read a little introduction she wrote,
the bride danced with her Uncle, to the live version of Landslide.
("this one's for you, daddy..")
