Let's talk about hiding wires!

I've been a mouse user for almost 30 years. They were on some of our original HP engineering workstations long before they made it to PCs. I can use a touchpad or a pointer stick (nub), but I get bogged down without the mouse. Maybe a touchscreen or tablet (I can handle the iPad fine) will kill the mouse off in the future for me.

If I'm not mistaken, the story doesn't end there....wasn't there some after party activities with a red head?

I'm not sure we want to go there Jim...

It was a hell of a party -- got there at 8am, and they had double booked the place. So we had to call the local PD, and get the other folks out. That took a few car crashes in the process.

I had my GOJFree ID card with me, so they got them out of there, and relocated to another hall.

So I got my stuff setup, and then helped with the decorations, setup the bar, etc. I forgot to make the spinach dip though -- I still feel bad about that -- my bad.

Got out after midnight, and had a local PD escort home to my Bros house. We both had GOJF cards at the time.

I never leave home anymore without a facade. There's a lot to look at in this picture so try to ignore that lol, this was from a gig we did Friday night ( Blacklight party for a local college ). But on stage in the center is one of our facades. From a company http://www.dragonfrontboards.com/ . I use the style called " Naga " and i highly recommend them to anyone who will listen. I light mine using a pair of American DJ Mega Bar 50's. I think using a full facade looks better than a table topper IMHO.

My setup is completely self contained. By using a X stand and SKB (tupperware) case, I control my space. Could even setup everything (spkrs too) in a broom closet w/ room to spare.Starting w/ the 2013 season, I'll be offering 100% wireless speakers - even for the mains. Running long lengths of XLR will be history. :) Now... if they only made lightweight portable 110v supplies....

You tell me.

Wes, I'm assuming you haven't had a problem with people tripping over your speaker stands otherwise you wouldn't have them out there. With that being said I'd be very nervous having it out there like that. All it takes is one person tripping, speaker falling on someone and you may have a potential lawsuit. But you have insurance right? lol

So each speaker will be powered by a battery? Otherwise while it may eliminate running of XLR for sound, it will require power from extension cords and unless you are always lucky enough to place each speaker by an outlet.

Nope. No trips in 13+ years and yes, I do carry insurance.

I doubt he's saying the speaker is wireless (i.e. power cord). He's probably using wireless units to transmit audio to the powered speaker. I do this for wide spreads. Whitles, are you running a biamp setup? Mind sharing a few more details on this setup?
