Starting our busiest week ever. Tomorrow, we have a small wedding that we're doing pictures and music for the reception.

Saturday we are doing wedding pictures, uplighting and music about 25 miles South of here. This one will be big, they have 10 attendants on each side and they're "expecting" over 300 at the reception.

We get up Sunday and head 25 miles West and we'll be providing ceremony music, pictures, uplighting and music for the reception. They're only expecting around 80 people and the bridal party is very small.

And yes, we're both taking Monday off to recuperate!

Good luck!!!

Quick check in, before bed. Less than 30 people at the reception (including the small bridal party). 1 hour overtime, paid in cash. No, there was no discount for it being a Thursday. Full pay for both photos and music. :)

Goodnight, it's time to get some much needed rest. :)

Ironic. I had a very similar weekend last weekend.

Friday, very small ceremony and reception. About 65 people

saturday morning ...played in a golf outing

Saturday evening, wedding 275 people

Sunday night, wedding 110 people. I believe this was the first sunday night wedding I've done that wasn't on a holiday.

The good part is it makes this weekend seem like a weekend off. Just a Saturday wedding.

I love those kinds of weekends.
I also hate those kinds of weekends, too.

Make sure you share some of the pics, Kirby!

Just got home from today's "marathon." Started around 8 am with pics. Ceremony was at 3 pm, and I was able to shoot until it was over then I scooted to the reception hall. We started the reception at 5 pm, and wrapped it up at midnight (which put us into 3 hours of OT).

Large wedding party with 10 attendants on each side, and the guest count at the reception was in excess of 325. We also provided uplighting.

Now it's off to bed as we'll be starting setup around 10am in the morning.

Pics, will follow...but with the amount of shooting that we've done I probably won't have pics for several months. :)

Yeah! We're done. Started at 10 am setting up the gear and uplighting and moved on to pics around noon. They had to move the ceremony indoors, so I set up a separate ceremony system for their 5 pm wedding. As soon as the wedding was over, I hustled down the lane to put the dinner music on auto-pilot so I could have some tunes for the guests while I went back and tore down the ceremony system and packed it back into the van.

Small wedding party with 2 attendants and no flower girl or ring bearer. Very small amount of guests (under 50). They came from all over, Alaska, California, Wyoming, Virginia, etc.

Very little dancing, but we still did a 1/2 hour of OT.

This was the first time we had the pleasure of working at this venue. It's a farm that this lady has built a "barn-like" reception hall that was quite unique on the inside, kind of rustic and it was great as there were electrical outlets about every 8 foot! There are several older structures including an old grain bin left over from the original farm which adds to it's charm. They've also built a cottage that has a fairly good sized room that can seat up to around 50. Since the weather was not cooperating the ceremony was moved into this building.

They also have 3 "cabins" that are on-site that can accommodate up to 14 people with plans to add more in the future.

One of the cool things is that they specifically built the reception hall with a garage door that the DJ can back up to and unload right where the dance floor is and they provided plenty of room for setup. They have drapes on a rod that are put over the door after your in and it covers it up quite nice. Talk about easy load-in and load-out.

The owner was very accommodating and I believe that we made a good impression. She really liked what I did with the uplighting and kept commenting on how nice it made the hall look. :)

My butt is dragging and it's time to hit the sack.......
