Where do i get gaft tape or something else for a clean setup?

I've got a function this Saturday in Rahway, NJ to do and i needed help. I wanted to know where to get some gaph tape or what would you use to cover wires and exstension cord. I want a clean setup. I plan on spreading the speakers since the room i'm going to be playing in is large. I'll take pictures of the setup so i can get suggestions on how to make my setup better.
 
You probably mean gaffers tape. Look for a store that sells to tearthers or bands.
 
We pick up the 4" wide variety via Amazon. Like Wes was hinting at...spend the money on the good stuff, you'll thank yourself later when you're pulling it up.
 
and remember that Duct Tape is NOT created equally.

(that's why they don't even use it on ducts anymore)
 
Mix asked a simple question that required a simple answer. I too am guilty of being a smart azz to Mix but I'm going to try to be a better human being this thread.

Man, I wish it was that cheap. We used to buy it by the case at the TV station, and it was about $22 a roll. But at that price, I'm not sure it is worth every penny.... at your price, it sure is.
 
Get a roll of 2" tape (good general purpose) and if you can swing it, a roll of tunnel tape. It's usually 4-5" in width with no adhesive down the middle .. good for covering a run of a couple lines (AC, speaker, mic) across the floor and looks a bit cleaner than multiple pieces of Gaf.
 
I got a roll of gaffers tape and saw how much better it is over duct tape.We used duct tape for years in the band.Not anymore .Do yourself the favor!

This isn't a knock to Ben, but the NLFX-brand Gaffers' Tape is too sticky... according to a trusted source who recently returned a few rolls to NLFX, it has too much glue and leaves a mess of a residue behind when you peel it up. I'm sure that Ben is aware of this and is working on the formula. For me, Permacel 665 tape is the way to go.

You know, I went away from any sort of tape many years ago. I never liked the look, and I always felt it was a huge PITA.

So I went to Home Depot, and bought those rubbertipped 2 x3 black rubber mats, and I lay them down over the wires, and have enough to cover any cables going to a wall. It's a way better look than tape and takes a lot less time and effort.

If you are running wires along a baseboard tape is better. I think the rubber mat with the squares may look too Industrial, maybe Carpet squares can be better. I have about a half dozen Black Carpet 2'x2' squares that I use and I join them from the back with Gaffers tape. I bought my carpet squares at the Dollar Store.
