I just called my Insurance Agent State Farm. For Texas. One of the reasons why they have Commercial Insurance policies is not only because of loss or contents, it is also because of liability in case of an accident if you are at fault. The payout is higher to the victim. If you only have a personal Liability insurance they can sue you enough to exceed what your insurance will pay and thus be able to go after your personal assets.

I carry an umbrella policy for those kinds of things.
 
This kind of info is good especially for newbies. those who use their personal vehicles to transport gear might want to check with their Insurance agents because as stated before, each state has different restrictions governing Commercial Insurance Polices. If one is required and you get into a wreck while going to a Gig, not only can coverage be denied but you can also be sued for trying to circumvent the law. Check with your agent.
 
You just never know when hail, downed tree limbs, and such are going to get you.

It should also cover you if some dumba$$ kid tries to pull your lettering off. That happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago.

It's false when you say this: "What do you mean "No Insurance", You will still need a Commercial Insurance Policy for both the Vehicle and the Trailer."

Are you now going to deny saying this?

BTW Jay - the trailer looks fantastic.......Maybe it's time to do something with the 5x8....
 
Steve..... do it, if you have a trailer. I get calls from mine all the time. I'm even thinking about adding blue neon under mine for more attention when i'm parked at night, and /or loading up. They make underbody kits with remotes.
 
Yep, when I out grew my last one I decided I would get one that could grow with me. Funny thing is if I load it up with everything I have, it's full.:sqcool:

But that only happens when I have big outdoor concert type events.
