I'm proud of my dog's frisbee playing ability -- that doesn't mean I'm gonna spend my life screaming it out to the world...![]()
I'm proud of my dog's pooping outside of the house ability. Does that count for anything?

lets put it this way, the way i take what you said makes it sound like you are rubbing it in peoples face, I'm pretty sure other people here don't care, but thats my opinion and I'm stickin to it
By the way I am a DJ not a photographer so my desire to take pictures at a event is not high on my list of priorities...
Let's do the math using $600 as your fee for a Wedding Reception and $150 to $200 for a Rock and Bowl or Bar Gig.
Wouldn't a true Professional DJ be able to ................
One Wedding Reception every weekend for 52 weeks at $600
He should be able to at least 10 weeks out of the 52 weeks get a second Wedding Reception for $600
He probably get lucky and out of those 52 weeks during the busy seasons land at least 3 weekends with 3 Wedding Receptions.
That leaves around $11,000 to be made up by doing school dances, Bar Gigs or Rock and Bowl events or anything else requiring a DJ.
Does $50,000 really seem that far out of reach?
Just like the unsupportable comments for teacher tenure, doing something more, doesn't mean doing something better.Nobody is telling anyone to be ashamed about anything but let's not pretend that there is no difference between someone who can only practice his craft in front of a live audience 25 times a year compared to someone who get's to practice his profession 100 times a year in front of a live audience.. One is indeed a Professional and one is in training status to get there.
Steve149 I disagree.
A teacher follows a curriculum so every year is pretty much the same.
Every DJ event has a learning experience and every one is different, The more you do the better you become.
Cesar .. sometimes you say intelligent things ... this isn't one of them ...Steve149 I disagree.

How many ways are there to teach Math if your doing elementary school?
I still run into things after 2000 wedding receptions that i shake my head at.
DJ Mac
Every year is different is just the point I am trying to make. If the teacher had 20 years under his belt he only had to change 20 times.
