Decided to build a facade. I wanted white so I can project any colour light on it and most tables are covered with a white tablecloth. I am still experimenting on how to mount the led rope light to properly light the front and sides. this is just some rough ideas....

Is that a facade or table topper .. looks short.

One option, you can mount a white J channel (normally used to edge sheetrock) at the bottom or top and set the led strip into it. Can usually get it for a couple bucks at Lowes/Home Depot.

Ok to be technical its a table topper and its made for a 4 to 5 foot table. I taught of that but then you will see the individual leds. I want the colour to be more even. I have access to hollow glass tubes that i can put them in that would diffuse the leds enough to make it look like a solid coloured source.I will get some of those first.

Are those corners fixed-bracing or hinged?
Hinged.. 3 per side. I used hinges for kitchen cabinet doors, these were free due to the fact that my workplace made an order many moons ago for hinges and got white instead of brown and these were laying around. I work as a superintendent at a apartment complex. This thing cost me $0.00 and I built it on my lunch break in our shop.
