Why do you think DJ Software was really created? Feel free to post comments after voting in the Poll
Remember the question was "Why do you think DJ Software was really created?" not what the Software does for you.Easy access to stuff but to me the most important thing is the original music collection stays safe at home.
Our founder (Rick), having been both a programmer and DJ for a couple decades, was tired of carrying crates of CDs and vinyl, so in 1999, he decided to write some software to play MP3s so he wouldn't have to lug all that stuff around anymore. The first version of Rockit was very simple, with two decks and a few controls to play, find music, etc. This software served his purpose well, and he was doing plenty of gigs, and his back was happy.
One night while playing at a rowdy little bar, a couple of DJs stopped by the booth to say Hi, and noticed he was playing off a laptop computer. They were amazed, and asked where the software came from, and where they could get copies. The rest is history...![]()
That is a very nice Post Rick! Extremely relevant to the point. Thumbs Up!Other
I can't speak for the others who write DJ Software, so I'll just quote myself from the SoftJock about page![]()
Is that Master Bedroom or Guest Bedroom?:triconfused:Programs like VDJ have soooo many more things, that I just don't see it even being fair. But like I said, unless you use Serato, you must be a bedroom DJ, right?
Ugh.
My guess is "Guest Bedroom" lol.Is that Master Bedroom or Guest Bedroom?:triconfused:
