Call Serato and they will be better able to advise you.

J/K (well, sort of).

Seriously, if SL2 is cheaper, get it. They are essentially the same, but the SL3 box has more/different hookups. If you are just using it to play around the house, I would even go as far as trying to get an SL1 box. If you are going to do gigs with it, SL2 or 3 would be fine (so would SL1 for that matter).

but sl1 has a 1.0 usb and sl2 has 2.0 ..is that a big diffrence? i found some one on craigslist with sl1 for 150.00... i do not know what the diffrence is with all sl 1 2 or 3.. but i just want to use for home use only ..just to use my 1200s

If it's for home use a used SL1 should be good enough. The SL1 is a work horse. I have a SL2 for my 1200's, which I use for my events. The SL3 came out before the SL2, which means more buyers would have gone with the SL2 if it was available back then. If you can get a good deal on a SL2 you should jump on it. I love mysl2, I have it tucked in deep inside my coffin no exposed wires.

No, in terms of playing sound there is no difference between USB1.0 and USB2.0
I think they just added 2.0 support to stick with the times. Like I said, if you are just playing around the house, SL1 is fine.

Remember, DJ's were doing gigs with SL1 loooonnnng before 2 or 3 came out with NO problems.
