Please post your first thoughts that come to mind concerning the balloon release at a wedding ceremony. Got a Bride that wants to do a balloon release at her Wedding Ceremony instead of bubbles as they walk down the aisle.

Just curious

Up Up and Away!

I think both are goofy. But if I had to choose, it would be the bubbles. The balloons won't be there long enough for photos and then there's that ecological factor.

.

If it's done right, the balloons could be cool and I wouldn't worry about the pictures, in this day and age, if a photog's camera can't capture the release then maybe they should have hired a professional.

Will the Chicks be wearing Balloon Pants to the Event?

Cesar I answered your question. Sorry I didnt give you the answer you were looking for. It was my first thoughts!

I was doing a benefit for a local 7 year old that has cancer and they did a balloon launch and the balloons had note cards on them telling where they were launched from. The benefit was at a fire station and the problem was it was windy outside and when they were carrying the balloons out to launch they got all twisted together and could not get them apart. They decided to let them go as a group ( about 75 balloons) and that was fine but they were under the power lines that ran down the street . I told them about what the problem was going to be but they let them go anyway. When the balloons hit the power lines there was a huge fireball. Scared the hell out of the whole group of kids. Not the best plan but it was something to watch

Firehouse, kind of like this?-

LOL just like that but only with more balloons. it was pretty fun to watch , kinda of scary for the kids but it was rainy so not a lot of people outside to watch. Funny part about it was that if the went out the back of the fire station it was a big open field with no wires.

yeah, I don't like the idea of balloons anymore.
for ecological reasons, I suppose.
I really like butterfly releases.
much more of a feel-good reaction for the guests.

Sorry, I haven't read the thread.. the title just made me curious. Even if someone might hold balloons against their will, why would I need to have an opinion on it?
