Has anyone compared and thoroughly used both services? What did you like better? How was selection, quality, and ease of use of each site? I've been looking for a pool and these two both look good. My typical crowd is high school and college, so the idea of a pool looks good because of the unedited and edited music.

Stew whats the most popular genre at your College gigs? I have various experiences with them in different regions over the years.
 
College has a wide variety of genres. A typical party usually starts out more pop/top 40 for the girls then over time gets heavier into some remixes, dubstep, house, etc. Depends on the crowd but this is pretty typical. Then the next day might be an outdoor event with a lot of country.

For a school sponsored event, you'll often need clean edits. Parties off campus not sponsored by the school (Greek, house parties, etc) want unedited music.
 
wow really country? The ones out west were similar to yours but alot of Indie added. So I would say Zip has alot of that mentioned as well as Trance, Jungle, Techno, Electronic, and all the above mentioned and even country
 
What is the selection like on Zip compared to DJCity? I applied for that preview so hopefully I can do some searching myself. I basically need everything and I like that Zip has country. How is the country selection? And is Zip quick to add new music like DJCity is or are they behind? Appreciate the help.
 
ahead almost on every count. The selections on country are bang on as they have Sony Univesal and all the major labels dropping their newest releases just like the old days Vinyl record pools. Check their website to see which labels they include in their list for newest and most recent recordings. Im not completely sure about Music Cities legitimacy. Here in Canada Zip is legit and license usable by DJs via the AVLA.
