Hello everyone. I wanted to know is there a record pool where you pay from month to month that will not only give you the top 40 but other styles of music? For example I wanted a site to get reggae, salsa, 50's-90's music, house and just other styles of music. I want today's hip hop & r & b too (even though I don't care for most of it) but don't want a site that will give you only just that. Is there such a site and what's the cost? Thanks.
 
New music comes from subsription services like Prime Cuts and Promo Only. Prime cuts sponsors our music board give them a look. :)

Backdating your library is a time consuming and expensive process. Your best bet is getting compilation albums from Amazon. The Time Life music collections are generally awesome. Time Life collections are how I started to backdate my library back in the day although they were a whole lot more expensive then.

There's no one site that will give you everything you want, Mix.

For current music, I like PrimeCuts. If you get their weekly service on MP3, you'll also get their Latin series which includes Salsa, Reggaeton, Merengue and other styles. However, it leans heavily towards Tex-Mex and Mexican Regional music (PrimeCuts is produced in Dallas, which explains part of it). However, for Reggae, music, Promo Only's Caribbean Series is very good. Based in Florida, Promo Only seems to have a better connection to island music.

The caveat: You can't pay month-to-month for these types of services. All will require a contract and prepayment.
 
As mentioned, no one service is going to have everything...especially the older content. We are promotional music services--meaning we are only allowed to service music from the last 1-2 years. So you won't find a promotional music service that offers the old stuff.

As far as the newer content, we have 95% of what you're wanting, but Reggae/Carribbean is something we don't offer.
