I'm reading it now, as I think I am going to go get my real estate license. While markedly different in the product we sell, the way to approach selling yourself while making a customer want you, is directly what this book speaks to. It isn't about bragging about how good you are, but what you promise to deliver, and how you will go about delivering it.

The title just seems like an internet play on an age old real estate principle which is: "all business is personal." (See the 1954 book by the founder of the Lee Institue for example.)

The reason to take care of the widow down the street is that not only is it the neighborly thing to do - but, she'll remember you when it's time to sell her house. If you're not religious you best join a church and become very active in it anyway because this is the community in which you are going to find many of your customers and subsequent referrals. This is where people turn for support in the life changes that result in transfers of real estate.

It may sound cynical - but, it is not. There is no reason you can't be ethical, helpful, sincere, and business minded all at the same time. Life happens. The more people's lives you are involved in the more of these exchanges you'll be available to represent.

Ziglar put it this way: "You can get whatever it is that you want if you are willing to help enough other people get what they want."
