Whitney Houston had an incredible voice. But to say Adele is "incredibly untalented" is quite a statement. It's like comparing every rock singer to Freddie Mercury. If they don't sound like him, they are incredibly untalented?
To me, true talent is making the most of what you have and what you can control. I think Adele certainly has done that to this point.
I think the only thing Whitney has proven this week is that anyone, no matter how much talent, beauty, or money they have, can still have great weaknesses and vast insecurities.

The Mayans just ran out of space on the calendar, and never foresaw me getting a bicycle with a basket on it -- go figure...
I'm still on the fence on Adele -- her attitude bothers me for some reason.
I think Adele is like most humans and her comments were nothing more than trying to overcome insecurity.

If anyone proved how untalented they were last night, it was Nicki Minaj. That had to be the weirdest segment I've ever seen on TV.
If we need to compare Adele with Whitney Houston, the other thing to consider is that Whitney Houston never wrote any of her hits(I think), while Adele has. Sure, it's very easy to write songs that sell millions, but that should give her a few talent points, no?
She has transcended a field which most often doesnt want anything but a slutty thin supermodel type to sing through auto tune versus a bigger girl with a powerful voice which can hold a key. I give kudos for the worlds admiration for her talent and nothing more.

I really like Adelle overall and normally I'm not into the jilted lover type songs.
