Sorry Whisper I didnt check back here otherwise I would have played it.

As far as my mic, when I first turned it on my bass was too high and my treble was almost all the way off. That happens when your dogs knock the unit on the floor (ouch!).


Believe it or not, that was probably my 4th or 5th time EVER mixing videos. I am hoping to find a way to use the 3rd and 4th decks so I can start doing some live blends with just the audio files in between mixing videos. THAT would be hot, some ish no one else is doing (that I know of).
 
Joe it was great I listened and watched a bit while I was working in the office. Great mixes.
 
Any chance you could give us an indication of when before the next time Jynxx? I totally missed it this time around... Too late I'm afraid. If you posted ahead of time, I might be able to check it out.
 
I am not going through just ustream though, I am using a program called Xsplit. I plan on using different "cameras" to show the interface, and possibly me scratching or something like that.
Xsplit also allows me to stream to more than one service at a time, although I am not sure why I would want or need to at this time.

I think I am going to TRY to start doing a saturday video show. We shall see. I will let you know if I go on tonight, but for now lets say that 6pm-8pm, central time is in pencil. I will let you know for sure, but I am shooting for it.

I use Xsplit too and whatever service you send to will record and archive your videos. Xsplit is just the broadcaster. You have to set your Ustream account to save your broadcasts. Justin.tv will save them by default and the they have better quality than Ustream.
 
Yeah, Xsplit threw me for a loop tonight.... I have the beta, and so they switched it so that you can only have a reeeeally craptastic audio signal playing unless you upgrade. I just don't have the $40 to upgrade right now, so I guess I will be putting the video mixing live on hold until I can get it.

I used it just last night with no trouble. I haven't a limit on the audio bitrate.

To adjust the audio encoding, click the channel tab in the settings and edit the channel to stream to. All options are in tact on beta version. There are no restrictions, but the beta version is ending soon.
 
Not anymore Hank. I can only use the "speex" codec instead of the "AAC LC". It only has a bitrate of 42k maximum, and when you try to change codecs, it says it is only available to licensed users, and asks if you would like to purchase a license.
This just started yesterday. I mixed last time with no problems.
