Make it real professional looking, or more relaxed?

I now have permission from 3 daycare centers to come and shoot video for my PBnJ parties kids event website. I have access to many professional people in video from back when I worked in TV. So, I could make a slick, really "professionally made" looking video, or I can make one that is more "home grown" style. Either way, I want to show the fun, but I think if I make it look "too" professional, it might turn off some potential clients..... I am thinking that daycare centers and preschools might like it to look more professional, but individuals might not. I guess I could shoot for a happy medium....

Thoughts?

This is a special event. To attend, parents will sign permission... PLUS one daycare center already has permission from the minute the kids enroll. I'm not an idiot. This took me 2 years to make it happen so that I get the permissions I need.
 
When my son was in daycare I signed a paper for the daycare to use photos/video shot for promotional purpose for THE DAYCARE. That form doesnt give them the right to allow an outside company to come in and shoot promo material for themselves. I would take a look at what the daycare has as proof that claims to already have this taken care of. I'll bet the daycare is covered, not you!

Coming from a professional background you should know its better to have a copy of the release paper from each talent used. Not rely on the daycare to provide the proof when the **** hits the fan.

Make sure you have all of the daycares have a parent/gardian sign your permission slip! Better to be safe than sorry!

Wow the first thing some of you guys think of is who is going to sue and how many ways if I had to operate like that I`d pull up stakes.....Obviously Papa isn`t on his first day on the planet of course he`ll cover his ass

BTW I would make a professionally shot relaxed looking video

Jeff, people don't know, or have forgotten, that I was an American Bar Association certified paralegal, with that certification being earned at Villanova Unsiversity... A university with a very highly regarded law program. I'm all about making sure my ass is covered. That is why this has taken so long to come about. I am using this down time to get my ducks all in a row.

Well...excuse us idiots...how exactly do you have you ass covered? Do you have a consent from all of the parents? Curious idiots would like to know
 
Papa Deuce we don't assume you know it all....so when there is an issue we think you should be aware of, we bring it to your attention with hopes of saving you from getting yourself into a messy situation.
