Gang -

Just took 2008 - 2011 mp3s and copied all 2600 to my phone. Also, had VDJ's folder w/ all playlists as well.

Get this - the m3u's made by VDJ got 'imported' into WinAmp and while it referenced odd locations, just played the tracks as if I had changed all the files. So every event logged since 2008 will pretty much play like it when I worked that event.

So, I have a great emergency backup solution w/ playlists and every song I played in last 4 years (minus the client supplied).

An install EXE of VDJ is also on my phone as well. Absolute worst case is either play off the phone or add a laptop and use this backup library.

DJ Studio is somewhat useful (dual approach - like VDJ) and Party Mixer (no frills and simple). But WinAmp is the best, just no dual automix support.

Just don't forget to put into airplane mode.

Agreed but this list contains a portion from every genre. Oh, I DIG your animation. :)

I guessed it would. It just seems like a lot. My entire 2K to now (excluding country) is about 2600 tracks and I don't recall not having a request. Then again, most of my clients are over 25. At least you've got your angles covered Ed.

Well, many bride rags like to mention number of tracks and DJs use that almost as an extension of man/woman hood.

My main library is 52k and always goes with me. It is nice having 99.99% of any request a client tosses my way. Plus allows me to 'wow' guests during the events by not relying on 'status quo' selections.

And I do this because I can. Either that or fill up my phone w/ silly utoob vids. :)
