I had another tiny one from my event on Saturday. Belle Meade Plantation (swanky). Huge party (9 couples). About 10 minutes before, the guests are all in place and the wedding's about to start when all hell breaks loose, right behind the bushes. It was several dogs that started fighting. Since the facility is a public place with tourists around I'm just thinking "Dang, what a time for this to happen!" The venue folks got them calmed down, and the wedding party starts coming down the aisle. After the party came down here comes 4 more people with, you guessed it, each escorting a different dog complete with bow-ties on their collars. They walk the dogs down to the alter, where a handler takes all their leashes and leads them away. The dog fight was our final 4 from the wedding party!! lol
 
The Bride and Groom at one of our Spring Weddings was a big ol White Bulldog with a bowtie on and he was part of the wedding party (Ringbearer) He got bored and layed across the front of the steps facing the audience with his nads hanging out for any photo op from the crowd. Leave the dogs and kids at home otherwise hell can break loose.
 
I'm not surer how I feel about this whole dog-in-the-wedding trend. Are people now that F--'d up that they value their animals more than real human friends?

I honestly don't understand why people bring little kids to weddings. The older ones sure, but the toddlers and the like are walking-screaming-running disasters in the making. If you're having to find the kid's parents and tell them that their kids are getting dangerously close to hurting themselves its not a great thing.

I've seen too often when the little ones are running around, they end up falling hard and killing the mood on the dancefloor. Bad for the event, bad for the hosts, etc.

Dogs?

A little yappy pom who danced around and nipped her owners feet as they did their first dance....that was stupid as well.

I don't have a problem with small dogs (i have one) but just seems a little stupid.
 
One time I there was some toddlers who chose no place else but to run up on the stage and around my speakers on stands. I very quietly went up to the parents and said. "It would not matter whose fault it is or who is negligent but no amount of Insurance money can replace the life of your child if a speaker falls on her head and she is killed". They immediately got up and removed the child from the stage.
