Answering Phones...

I have a question...

I am now clipping off a division of my DJ services that directly targets schools. As such, I have partnered with one of my best friends to do so and would like an inexpensive solution to one of those PBX style voicemail systems that let's you choose 1 for Employee A, 2 for Employee B, 3 for Sales & Customer Service.

Any leads to services such as this?

That's good for voice work, but is it a PBX system too? You know, that allows the customer to press keys to be transferred to an "extension"... Each extension will correspond to our mobile phones and the "Sales and customer service" extension would call both phones.

My take on this is based on experience... you have a better chance of losing callers using automated answering systems. Better to answer personally then transfer a call if necessary.

Also if you are going this route you will need multiple lines otherwise transferring calls on standard lines will result in busy lines or call waiting. And even a small pbx system plus a minimum number of lines is going to cost a small fortune in equipment and ongoing service charges.
