Just looking to freshen things up and adding a new domain name. Wanted to get some initial reactions to the old vs new. I'm thinking I may bust up my rickryan.com into three sites; 615DJ.com, 615Lighting.com and 615Photobooth.com. Your comments are appreciated.

your page buttons on main and investment jump to other locations. Also Care to describe Award Winning Music?
 
Oh and how did you qualify the best team of DJs in Nashville? I now see on the other site Wedding Wire as your qualified awards (subjective) reviews there are semi valid.
 
LeBlanc that site is on hold Im working for another company currently and will ressurect it once I gain foothold and help build this one. Thanks for pointing that out tho.

615 is the local area code. NashvilleDJ was already taken besides, 615 will shove me to the very top of any alpha-sort. If I do the same thing for lighting and photobooth, it gives me a common branding.

Hey, if it's written on a website it's GOT to be true.........

BTW, all I have is the front page. Just trying to see what you guys think of the look/feel vs my old site. Thought about putting a nekkid dancing chick on there but that might pull all the weddings with nekkid dancing chicks in the area.

Well, I am happy to hear that you didn't pay a third party for it. It's not horrible, but it needs work. Like Paul mentioned, the colors/layout. There are a whole bunch of Front Page templates around as well as free widgets, flash objects, etc.

For a free page maker, I would suggest Wix. For an affordable WYSIWYG designer, I suggest Coffeecup Visual Site Designer. I have used VSD for the pages below.

Also, I would recommend some minor text changes on your homepage.

First, I would change "Find out what great lighting will do for your event." to "Find out what great lighting can do for your event."

Second, I would change 'Approved Vendors' to 'Recommended Vendors'

Thanks Hank. I was hoping the mama-jamma-web-guru would chime in. The maroon is just something that cranked my tractor. What base color would you think for a DJ site, targeting brides? Man, I've had to do so much sissy stuff in this biz, just the thought of now having to make my site all sissy-fied is making me groan. :triwink:

The paragraph of text is too small. I'd make the text larger. The largest text box is your WW widget and my eye is drawn to that. Something that bothers me is it's not very sticky?!

.02 worth.
