For most of my events maby 2%

Depends on the crowd..... I guess a good "average" would be about 15-20%

1% though I would like to play more and atleast 10% possibly but a full blown country bash would be fine for me.

mine changes but 5% is about right....

It all depends on the client and the event.

Well of course it does, but you didn't answer the question asked.

Like I said, it all depends on the clients. if they want totally country, zero country. Are there certain country artists they like, or hate. Does the crowd even seem to be a country crowd?

Here's another answer to your question. I can't tell you because I don't keep track of how many songs from different generes are played.

My last stint as Resident DJ in a Club/Resort 2004-2008, I did about 50% Country. For the last year and a half maybe 2%. I miss the mix of the Genres. Today, it is 99% Hip Hop not by choice but by audience appeal.

No, you are just skirting the question. You probably have a good idea of what percentage of the music you play is country music, but you want to try to make it based on each unique event versus what you average on all adult events, which is the basis of this thread.

I'd say it's as high as 25% and a little more, depending on the venue. Country music is quite popular here with over-40ish audiences.

Bear in mind, this excludes many weddings (younger audiences) and club-themed shows.

When I lived in Virginia, C&W and Bluegrass could make up 99% (street festivals) or sometimes very little, again, depending on the venue.

It depends on the gig, Here?..about 50+%
New country has taken the place of new rock & roll. It is very popular with young & mid-aged people. I get lots of requests for new country from the under 30 crowd.
