Which tablet is better for DJ's?

None of the above... 
They do not have the processing power, memory, storage or connectivity to make a decent rig. They are designed to surf the internet, watch movies, and text your buddies.
They might make a neat remote control for your real computer, and be handy for presentations to clients though...
There's an intrinsic issue with touch screen devices -- our hands were not designed to interact with them. Pushing a button is easy, but try moving your finger in a circle, or scrolling. You lose the ability of precise motor control, because of the friction on the surface of the screen.
Human nature is to control things -- that's why mice, keyboards, controllers, etc. are fairly popular.
Until somebody can overcome that distinct feel -- I don't see them as anymore than a neat looking remote control...

Leave them alone! They are trying to lighten their load. Give them 5 more years and they will be DJing from their wristwatch and all guests will be wearing wireless earbuds! :tribiggrin::tribiggrin::tribiggrin:
That's easy. A slate tablet is best. Have a piece of chalk handy and let people to write down their requests.
With an Ipad you can DJ With a Windows 7 Tablet you can dj but you will get more for your money with a laptop. I do see netbooks being surpased by tablets. If the Windows compatible tablets have the balls and enough inputs (usb) I can see them as a dj tool.
Well, I haven't done it for money, but there is a nice program for iPads called DJAY. And I think you could do * some * events with it. The MAC version of it is quite nice. I mean seriously, people have used computers years ago to DJ that have far less power than a tablet does today. And when the iPad eventually gets a USB port or 2, I may give it a go.
ok, how would you position the Ipad, keep it in your hand, put it on a thing like our laptops, to me now, and we all have opinions seems like something that would be knocked over or a drink spilt on, laptops just seem more stationery
I use a tablet to show clients how I spend the money they pay me, then mock them for not buying one.

Love my iPad. Extremely portable. I use when meeting with clients to show them pictures, and sign them up. At events, I use it for MCing and coordinating the event.
As mentioned, I can see this being a remote for my computer, but I'd rather not use a full touch screen. Plus, tablets, at least as they are today, are not as functional as laptops. My laptops are portable enough for what I need. If I desired more portability for djing, I'd probably use my pacemaker mp3 player as a front line player. I'm simply not willing to give up any functionality to go smaller than a laptop.
If and when tablets are ready to fully replace laptops, I'll examine it then. But today, they are a very handy compliment to my laptop, not a replacement.
But I don't buy the " it doesn't look professional" stuff. I heard it from a lot of djs 8 to 10 years ago with my laptops. They said if I brought my laptop in, no one would ever hire me again because they would realize they could just do it themselves. WRONG.
Use what works for you, and if no one is hiring you, don't blame equipment.

Just taking a wild guess here David -- but I'm thinking you don't have a touchscreen...
I have a couple, and they suck for DJ work. Then again, they make for cool YouTube bedroom DJ videos...
I use a controller most of the time but I have use it alone to dj. When i use it alone I use a usb sound card for cueing.
That really has nothing to do with the touch screen part, which is the issue I have.
Care to share a video of YOU using the various controls on a touch screen only (especially knobs and sliders)...? I'd be interested in how you overcome the friction on the screen.
