In the 80's I had a Fisher amp/receiver, 2 Technics SLB1 turntables, Numark DM1075 mixer and 2 Fisher 3 way speakers.

Lineartech bd1600 belt drives and a lineartech 10" mixer with 20 second sampler built in. Technics home amplifier and speakers!
my first system wasn't even MINE
(sounds like a set-up for a "we were SO POOR" joke....)
the multi-op I started with lent me a powered rack-mount mixer *had to bend down to look at it straight on)
a pair of Realistic single cassette decks (they also provided a case of a few hundred single-play, auto cue cassettes)
two cube-shaped no-name 15" speakers (actually pretty decent, even though they always sat on the floor)
and a frickin' heavy Crown amp (aka "the boat anchor")
the mixer and amp were mounted in the same rack...
and if you wanted a turntable, then sent one along in a padded "enclosure"
I'd call it a "case", but it was more like two form shaped pillows that strapped together to protect it

"Brand X" wireless handheld & beltpack (This was an Audio Technica second label.)
Peavey CS-800X amp (I only got rid of this a couple years ago)
Yamaha S115-IV speakers
