Great!

This just happen tonight, its been acting more and more sluggish.

I do have it backed up with time machine, never had to use timemachine before though....

Im copying and updating some manual copies on another HD before i blow this old one away...

Glad im not djing this weekend....
 
Ok but Macs dont break..... Sorry to be an ass but no matter what machine you have backups are essential.
 
It's just upset, because Apple announced the new and improved Macs today... PMS sorta.

Get some new sequins for the man purse/carrying case, give it a Midol, and it should be ok in the morning... :yothumbsup: :yoBiggrin:
 
yeah but Macs still use INTEL Cpu's lol its basicly still a PC

Glad it's not a gig weekend for you. Macs use the same hardware as every other computer does and are prone to the same problems.

Time Machine is really awesome. I've tested restores from it just for chits and giggles. When you get to the welcome screen after reinstalling OS X you'll have an option of importing from a Time Machine backup. It may take a couple of hours depending on how much data there is to transfer but once it's done and reboots you'll be right where you left off.
 
I'm curious, is this a continuation of the same problem you posted about a few weeks ago or is this a completely new HD crash we're talking about? Dude, I understand you macheads are gaga over the platform but those filesystems do seem to go south a lot.......and that's been going on since the early days. Seems I've always heard my mac friends discussing their latest HD crash and the tricks they use to skirt the issue. Just sayin.

Yup! Time Machine, went to bed, woke up and was checking my email! Fantastic!

No, that issue was from an external HD.
