Anybody know about this mixer? I'm interested and love its dual-USB, plus it actually still has some 1/4" inputs on it.

Rick - I have the CM200usb (its predecessor). The CM3 usb is identical except for apperance..I found it a tad noisy at times; one of the inputs have failed ( at circuit board level) and one of the usb ports failed as well....I'm sure its soldering issues. It served me well for 3 years.

The Denon X500; blows it away in terms of sound quality. The dual usb is nice , for 60 bucks you can buy 2 Behringer UCA202's and use those cards anywhere...

I have the Beher VMX1000 and the club owner where I DJ bought the usb version for his other Club. It is nice and a good price.
I have the 200 as well its now my backup. Though I liked it quite a bit it did lack a little in overall headroom I did not notice untill I got my new mixer. Very decent for what it is.
Yes, it is one USB port. I think the tone is excellent but then again, the guy has other processing gear in the chain so properly set, everything works well and sounds great. I helped him to design the rig and as you know, I love processing in the chain.:triwink:
I bought the C3USB 2 years ago and it has never failed on me. I use it with VDJ along with a DMC2 and I love it. I believe the 200 used usb1.0 and the C3 uses usb 2.0 so there are some differences.

The Denon X500 is a good board, with great value for $.
In the budget category, I would recommend the Vextax 004xl (or 002xl).
I have a Behringer VMX-1000 on rental duty. It is perfect for that...5 channels of inputs (2 for dual CD player, three for iPod pigtails). The board is noisy when the master it turned up past about "7". The crossfader bleeds really bad. The channels only have about 50dB of separation...so there is a good amount of bleed between them.
I also had a lot of entry level Numark boards when I was starting out. None were better than "OK...until I can afford something better".
Well friggin on it. Just as I'm about to pull the trigger on a VMX100 and you go and rain on my parade. :triwink:
I like the looks of the Denon but really want USB. Decisions, decisions, decisions............thanks for the input.
I actually have two of the Behringer VMX1000 boards...both on rental duty. They have held up well under the use/abuse of renters...and if you can keep the master under "7", they are "OK." But the board is no better than "OK". It is on par with most of the other <$200 offerings out there.
USB integrated with a mixer is somewhat overrated. For about the same $$$ you can get a very good multi channel external sound card that will have better sound quality. It is a couple more cables to carry.
You really really don't need usb that bad....buy two of the Behrigers UCA 202's velcro them to the bottom of the mixer and you're set...
Okay Houston, I'm with you on this one (for now). Went by Guitar Center to pickup some cables and they had a VMX1000USB in stock. I got it for $175 and will give it a try. That 30-day return policy is good sometimes.
First thing I noticed was lack of 1/4" inputs. Then no 1/4" outputs (xlr only). That'll mean a converter cable when using the Bose. The sliders have zero resistance and feel cheap, compared to the Denons I've looked at. I do like the beat counters, if they even come close to working. I also do like that there's no wall wart and a nice, standard, appliance socket built into the unit. I also like having a sweepable crossover built into the mixer (although it was kinda stupid to hide the control knobs where you can't easily get at them during the gig). Other than that, no opinion yet.
Now, ask me if I'm going to go get the rack out of my trailer (which is locked in storage) and test it out before my gig on Saturday..................nah.

Well actually 2 CM200USB and 1 C3USB. I loved them UNTIL.......
The first CM200USB dropped a channel after 3 years so I bought the C3USB.
After 1 year the C3USB dropped a channel.
Total over the last 6 years I have been through 4 Numark mixers and only have 1 that semi works.

Awesome unit, USB/MIDI, and a 100% functional/actual hardware MIXER if laptop and HD go "kaput."
I just got a DN-HC4500 (thanks Ben!), but down the road I'm most likely going to go with the above... or whatever generation they happen to be on at that point.
