Scott I am not saying which is better, it has nothing to do with that for me... When someone asks if you are full time (not YOU But ya know), how hard is it to understand what they are asking?

Why is there always this big deal about it? Way back before I was a DJ I was a butcher in a store,,,,, when someone asked me what I did I was a butcher,, full time,,,, no explanation needed,,, people know what that means....

Why is it when someone asks, and to be honest, it only comes up on chat boards so I shouldn't even worry about it,,, in fact, ya know,,, I wont.....

Chuck,
I never thought it had anything to do with it for you or the way you thought. My apologies if it came off that way. I was just offering my opinion as to why there was a big deal about it.

I believe that for the most part, most people, and most DJs consider this a "part time" occupation. So when someone is able to do something this "fun" full time(and if they are doing it right, it should appear to be fun) it's almost like a status symbol and/or a sign of success.

No one thinks of a doctor or a butcher as a "part time" occupation, even though it may be for many people, so there is no great "accomplishment" seen in being a full time doctor or a full time butcher as compared to a part time one.
